Neti is a Sanskrit principle that means "not this, not that." It invites reflection, discernment, and the courage to question harmful beliefs, unfair norms, and inherited assumptions that affect health, dignity, and everyday life. Aarohan means upliftment or ascent. Together, Neti Aarohan expresses an approach to development and well-being where critical thinking is guided by compassion and action is guided by evidence and ethics.

Neti Aarohan Nepal is a profit non-distributing organization based in Nepal, working across health, mental well-being, food security, education, social inclusion, and human rights. We work with communities, researchers, practitioners, and institutions to design, implement, and evaluate programs that respond to real needs on the ground.

We support ethical research, practical consultancy, and capacity-building that move work beyond paperwork into meaningful impact. We prioritize listening before acting, evidence before assumptions, and sustainable change over quick results so our work remains thoughtful, inclusive, and genuinely beneficial to the people and systems we serve.
